 Stuffed Chinese Whole Wheat Parathas Recipe

  • ½ cup of whole-wheat flour
  • ½ grated of carrot
  • ¾ shredded of cabbage
  • 5 tablespoons of sprouts
  • ½ of onions, thinly sliced
  • 1 teaspoon of soy sauce
  • ½ teaspoon of powdered sugar
  • ½ of green chilies, finely chopped
  • Oil
  • Salt


  • Heat oil in a pot and add carrot, cabbage, onion, and sprouts.
  • Cook for about 2 minutes over a high flame, stirring continuously.
  • Add salt, soy sauce, green chilies, and sugar, and cook on a medium flame for another 2 minutes.
  • Allow the mixture to cool down and divide it into 4 equal portions.
  • Knead the flour into soft dough, form 4 dough balls and roll them using a rolling pin.
  • With each rolled dough, take one portion of the veggie mix and place it in the center. Fold opposite sides of the dough over the veggies, overlapping them.
  • Fold the remaining sides over as well. Repeat with each rolled dough piece.
  • Heat some oil in a non-stick pan and cook the parathas till they are golden brown. Serve hot!
