Whole Wheat Oatmeal Pancakes Recipe

  • Serves: 6 Pancakes


  • ½ cup of quick oats (uncooked)
  • 1 cup of whole wheat flour
  • 2 teaspoons of baking powder
  • 1 egg (or 2 egg whites)
  • 2 tablespoons of powdered brown sugar
  • 1 cup of milk
  • 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon of cinnamon powder
  • ¼ cup of Greek yogurt (or simply yogurt)
  • il/Butter
  • Salt
  • Maple Syrup/Honey/Fruits to serve


  • Add the flour, oats, baking powder, cinnamon powder and salt in a large bowl.
  • In another bowl, mix the egg/s and milk.
  • Add brown sugar, yogurt, and vanilla extract to the egg/s and milk. Mix until you see no lumps.
  • Add the contents of the second bowl into the first and mix until you see consistency in the batter.
  • Grease a non-stick pan with oil/butter and heat it a little over a medium flame.
  • Pour a little batter into the pan and cook until the edges are dry enough (about 1 minute). Flip the pancake to get the same golden brown on each side.
  • Repeat the process until you're out of batter.
  • Serve hot with your choice of side!
